Some dreams

Daydreaming is often a disregarded and neglected aspect of dream study because they are often overlooked as fleeting and wandering thoughts. There is a lack of emphasis on the content of your daydreams. However, the meanings to your nightly dream symbols are also applicable to your daydreams.  The content in your daydreams are also helpful to the understanding of your true feelings and in fulfilling your goals.
Most dreams contain messages that serve to teach you something about yourself. However, soon after you wake up to go about your daily routine, you tend to quickly forget what you dream about. The message in recurring dreams may be so important and/or powerful that it refuses to go away. The frequent repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention and confront the dream. It is desperately trying to tell you something.  Such dreams are often nightmarish or frightening in their content, which also helps you to take notice and pay attention to them

Recurring dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a certain life situation, transitional phase in life or a problem that keeps coming back again and again. These dreams may recur daily, once a week, or once a month. Whatever the frequency, there is little variation in the dream content itself. Such dreams may be highlighting a personal weakness, fear, or your inability to cope with something in your life - past or present

Healing dreams serve as messages for the dreamer in regards to their health. The Ancient Greeks called these dreams "prodromic". Many dream experts believe that dreams can help in avoiding potential health problems and healing when you are ill or when you are grieving. Research shows that asthma and migraine sufferers have certain types of dreams before an attack. Your bodies are able to communicate to your mind through dreams. The dreams can "tell" you that something is not quite right with your bodies even before any physical symptoms show up. Dreams of this nature may be telling the dreamer that he or she needs to go to the dentist or doctor. If you can understand the language of dreams, your dreams will serve as an invaluable early warning system. They can help inform, advise and heal.

Prophetic dreams, also referred to as precognitive or psychic dreams, are dreams that seemingly foretell the future.  One rational theory to explain this phenomenon is that your dreaming mind is able to piece together bits of information and observation that you may normally overlook or that you do not seriously consider

Positive daydreaming is healthy. It serves as a temporary escape from the demands of reality. It is also a good way to release pent up frustrations without physically acting them out. All to often you worry about your job, your family, finances, a relationship, etc. It is a way to leave the world behind and ponder about what could've been or should've been. It relieves stress, improves attitude, fosters creativity and refresh the mind, body, and spirit.

Qualites that make a persona successful

1.desire
the motivation to succeed comes from the burning desire to achieve a purpose. napoleon hill wrote,"whatever the mind to man can conceive and belive, the mind can achieve" . a young man  asked socrates the secret to success. socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning. they met. socrates asked the yound mand to walk with him toward the river. when the water got up to their necks, socrates took the young man by surprise and dunked him under the water. the boy struggled to get out but socrates  was strong and held him down. when the boy started turning blue, socrates raised the boy's head out of the water. the first thing the young man did was to gasp and take a deep breath of air. socrates asked,"what did you wqant the most when you were under water?" the boy replied, you want success as intensely as you wanted air underwanter, then youb will have it . "there is no other secret.

a burning desire is the staritnt point of all accomplishment. just like a small fire cannot give much heat , a weak desire cannot produce great results.

2. commitment : try not to become a success, but rather try to become a many of value.
3.responsibility: a duty which becomes a desire will ultimately become a delight
4.hard work: luck?  i don't know anything about luck. i've never banked on it , and i'm afraid of people who do. luck to me is something else; hard work--- and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't.
5.character: charater is the sum total of a person's values, beliefs and personality. it is reflected in our behavior and in your actions. it is not the polls or public opinion but the charater of the leader that determines the course of history. there in no twilight zone in integrity.. the road to success has many pitfalls.
5.positive believing : having a positive attitude and being motivated is a choice we make every day. living a positive life is not easy, but then neither is negative living. given a choice, i would rather go for a positive living . positive thinking helps you use your abilities to the fullest.

Obstacles to success

  • ego
  • fear of failure/success;lack of -esteem
  • no plan
  • lack of formalized goals
  • life changes
  • procrastination
  • family respossibilities
  • financial security issues
  • giving up vision for promise of money
  • doing too much alone
  • overcomitment
  • lack of commitment
  • lack of training
  • lack of persistence
  • lack of priorities

Communication skill to success

Effective communication is essential in the business world. Presentations, meetings and negotiations are key. A good leader must be a good and clear communicator. Often times those who communicate well rise to the top, while those who are more uncertain remain behind. There are many methods available today to improve communication for those to whom it does not come naturally. Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) work to improve communication skills by tapping into the unconscious and ‘reprogramming’ the mind to focus on positive thoughts.
An ineffective communicator is one who over thinks language, presentation and message. By focusing strongly on what is coming next, the ineffective communicator often stumbles on what he/she is saying in the present. This leads to misunderstandings and an unsuccessful presentation or pitch. Nervousness, stress and uncertainty are not traits that a leader typically portrays and thus, the ineffective communicator is out of the running. By being so focused on themselves, the ineffective communicator shuts out the audience and is often unaware of their reactions.
One of the biggest reasons for it’s success is that the therapy does not involve consulting experts, buying supplements, doing rigorous physical workouts or even going on a low-carbohydrate diet, etc. Hypnotherapy for weight loss can be done by the weight watcher - at the most he or she can seek help from a professional hypnotist, though many can learn and practice hypnotherapy at home through various self-help tools available.
There is the “Visual”(V) representation where the person creates and sees pictures. This can be represented by the phrase “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
Understanding communication and how to do so effectively are highly regarded skills in most industries. Through NLP and hypnosis one can build an awareness of one’s own communication skills and abilities while gaining an understanding of others. Often a leadership programme using NLP and hypnosis can be highly effective when combined with communication courses on presentations and negotiation skills. Thus, both skill sets can be incorporated.

Mutual support need to success

When I was a young instructor pilot, I committed a major fluxes  pas by missing a critical flight briefing. I accidentally slept through my alarm and my negligence cost the squadron valuable training time. I was subsequently grounded from flying that day and I expected to be reprimanded by my commander (a rather intimidating officer whose call sign was “Psycho.”) But instead of the reprimand I expected, he asked a few questions that changed my opinion of him as a leader. “This isn’t like you Waldo. You’re never late. Are you feeling all right? Is everything OK at home?” His questions surprised me, but they also made me feel appreciated.

Psycho showed me he cared by the questions he asked. He connected with me as a person, not just a fighter pilot. In fighter-pilot lingo, Psycho was checking my six.

Fighter pilots provide mutual support by checking six, or watching for threats in their wingman’s most vulnerable blind spot—directly behind them (i.e., their six o’clock). Checking six is about keeping an eye out for the missiles being fired at your teammate, co-worker or friend. It means helping them see what they cannot. It also means respecting your wingmen, being receptive to critical feedback and having the courage to give honest feedback.

We all have blind spots, negative habits and personal emergencies that may limit our potential. But when we have a wingman in our formation who has our best interest in mind and who can help see what we can’t, we’re less likely to get shot down.

How are you acknowledging, appreciating and connecting with your wingmen? Do you have the courage to tell them what they need to hear, and not just what they want to hear? Are you checking their six or are you checking out?

When you build a check-six culture of mutual support at work and at home, you help create an environment of trust where people aren’t afraid to make mistakes or take risks. Most important, it helps people to push it up and take action when the missiles start flying

Peparation leads to success

One thing was certain when my wing- men and I strapped into our F-16s: We never flew by the seat of our pants. We prepared relentlessly, studied the threat, and knew our tactics inside and out. By the time we took off, we were mission-ready. One of the keys to our planning success was our focus on “chair flying” every possible contingency. We mentally rehearsed every missile launch, engine failure and aircraft malfunction. We did this on the ground, so that in the heat of battle, we would be able to confidently execute the plan.

How do you prepare for your missions? Are you mission-ready? Do you execute a well-prepared plan, or do you fly by the seat of your pants and simply react when adversity strikes? Preparation is a critical factor to reaching your potential. Study your competition, stay current on new technologies, attend seminars on personal development, leverage social media to build your brand and practice responses to business objections before heading into battle. When you rehearse for success, you’re much more likely to achieve it. Preparation leads to confidence and confidence builds trust. Trust sells. Remember, Wing-men never “wing it!

Success need motivation

Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, once said, "There are two things people want more than sex and money...recognition and praise."  Time and time again the one motivating factor at the top of most employee lists is appreciation for a job well done.  It is more requested than the green stuff, money.
Why don't more managers, owners, and employees give appreciation?  Some people state they don't know how to give it.  Others don't know what to give appreciation for in the work environment.  Yet others say they are too busy to give appreciation.
I think this is the biggest sin of managers, being too busy to give appreciation for a good job well done.  Remember what the old transmission commercials used to say, "You can pay me now or you can pay me later."  Well, that is what giving appreciation is about.  You can invest in your employees now and "pay" them with sincere appreciation and achieve even better performance.  Or you will "pay" later by seeing your team's
performance sink, corrective actions and coaching increase, and overall morale decrease.

What is success?

a lot of research has been done on the subject of success and failure. the secrets of success can be learnt of   from the life histories of successful people. successful people have certain qualities in common no matter which period of history they lived in , and no matter what their fields of endeavor.

success leaves clues. if we identify and adopt the qualities of successful people, we too shall be successful. similarly, there characteristics common to people who aren't successful. success is no mystery. it is simply the result of consistently applying some basic principles. the reverse is just true: failure is simply a result of making a few mistakes repeatedly. the might sound too simplicity but the fact is the most truths are very simple. i'm not saying they are easy, but they are simple.

Dream of men

The following are five secrets that will guarantee that your song of success is heard and you can also live your dreams:
  1. Create Powerful Goals to Be Successful
Take the time to set clear, concise life and success goals that you can be excited about on a daily basis. Refer to your goals every day so that you can stay on course to achieve your dreams. Make your goals S-M-A-R-T-E-R: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-based, encouraging, and rewarded.
  1. Develop Your Positive Expectations to Be Successful
Even as the audience was laughing about what to expect, the judge asked her which singer’s level fame she wanted to attain. Susan answered, without hesitation: Elaine Page, one of the most famous English singers of all time. This drew more laughter and skeptical looks. Then she sang and over the skeptical looks changed to awe. In Susan Boyle’s mind, she was as good as the best singer in England. She had already developed her positive expectations to be a great singer and wouldn’t allow anyone to deter her from her goal.

What are your positive expectations for success? If someone were to ask you what career or life goals you want to achieve, would you be able to communicate it without hesitation? Develop your positive expectations so that you can move forward with your goals in the face of opposition.
  1. Follow Your Passion to Be Successful
Susan’s passion since she was twelve years old was singing. It was the one thing she loved to do. When she walked out of the stage, you could see the excitement and enthusiasm about at being given the opportunity to do what she loved showed in the way she talked, walked, and finally...sang.

If there something you are passionate about? Is it a hobby? Is it a business opportunity? Is it a career opportunity? Well Let your passion for whatever you what show. Your passion will knock down barriers and create new opportunities for you. Your passion will keep you going even during the darkest times and evaluate elevate you even more during good times. Say Coleman Cox once said the following:
“When enthusiasm is inspired by reason, is practical in application, reflects confidence, and spreads good cheer, raises morale, inspires associates, arouses loyalty, and laughs at adversity, it is beyond price.”
Be passionate about whatever the goals you what to achieve. Let your enthusiasm be your weapon against naysayers and cynics in life and you will achieve your goals.
  1. Be True to Yourself to Be Successful
When Susan walked out on the stage and conversed with the judges, it was clear that she had a very unique personality. However, in spite of being in a high-pressure situation, in front of thousands of audience members, millions of television watchers, and the judges, she was comfortable in her own skin and true to herself. She wasn’t going to change who she was because of this very important moment in her life. She was even more true to herself under pressure.

How many times have you felt pressure to change who you are to be successful? This may occur at work, in business, or with your family. True success comes from staying who you are while achieving success. How many times have you heard stories about people who “sold their soul” so that they can be successful and later become even bigger failures? Stay true to your values in the face of pressure and you will become successful.
  1. Be Persistent to Be Successful
You will meet many roadblocks on your way to achieving your goals and living your dreams. You may never be given the opportunity to succeed, but be persistent. You ideas may be discredited, but be persistent. You may be laughed at for believing in your goals like Susan Boyle, but be persistent.

Realize that many people do not hold the same dreams and goals that you believe in. When you are persistent, you will find the energy to pursue your goals in spite of others who are negative toward your dreams. By being persistent in achieving your goals, you will win over allies who will help you achieve your dreams.

Bonus Tip: Have fun along the way to success.. Susan looked like she was having fun in the moment no matter what happened. Have fun along your journey of success and it will make your trip that much more enjoyable.
Apply the five success secrets at your business, your career, and your life in the face of all obstacles and you can live your dreams. Susan is singing her song of success; why not let your song be heard?

How many dreems?

How many goals or dreams have you written down for yourself in the past 5 to 10 years? If I may ask, have you achieve 70% of these dreams? We all need to take time in solitude to evaluate our successes and failures in life to correct future occurrences. I do not want to be sarcastic but with all objectivity this is to ascertain where we have all gone wrong in search of success in life.
There are three powerful secrets behind all successes in life. They are;
Desire, Belief and Action.
One interesting thing about these powerful secrets to success stated above is that it has to be followed in that sequence to achieve the desired result. If the desire to build a Castle is not there, then the belief would not come from inside and of course there is no need of taking action. How intensely do you desire your dreams? Do you believe in your instincts to achieve success? And do you have bias for action?
Look at the champions of the world today in their various endeavours; Roger Federer, Bill Gates, Alinko Dangote, Tiger Woods, Oprah Winfery, David Beckham, Mike Adenuga Jnr, Barack Obama to the late Mother Theresa - and you will agree that these three simple secrets are working for them.

Dreem and sucess

We live in a world where everyone wants to achieve success and have financial freedom. With the ever increasing daily needs of life, we all strive to meet up with our personal needs, family needs, financial needs and even social needs. What plans or goals have you set for yourself to achieve these needs? Do you have the dream of becoming a proud owner of landed properties, choice cars, profitably business, great family, etc? Some people do not believe in dream, so do you? My mentor used to tell me that whatever your dreams or aspirations in life are, if well conceived within you it would definitely come to pass. I do not want to bore you with all these questions or deviating from my normal investments tips, but if you do not understand these basic spiritual principles of life success would be elusive to you.
Some people venture into various businesses, career or projects without believing in it or believing in themselves to succeed. I have watched some people's business or idea crumble without reaching its desired peak. It is either they lacked the basic knowledge of that particular business or within their hearts of hearts they do not believe in it. Most of the time we fall in these category and we blame God for abandoning us! Remember, that God sees our heart desires and bless those that believe in Him.
